Formaldehyde is a chemical used in some other nail polish brands. The International Agency for Research on Cancer classifies formaldehyde as a known human carcinogen. Formaldehyde is also linked to asthma, neurotoxicity, and developmental toxicity.
Formaldehyde is listed on the Proposition 65 list of the State of California.
